Pool vs Pool – garden landscape project or build an extension

There’s a lot to consider when thinking about a design project for your home and what you want that to look like. So the question is do you choose a garden landscape project or build an extension?

There’s a lot to consider when thinking about a design project for your home and what you want that to look like. A well designed garden is like adding an extra room to your house. With that in mind it begs the question, do you embark on a landscape project or build an extension?

The extension might be a room that opens up into the garden with comfortable seating, a bar and a pool table. With the doors flung open you invite the elements from outside into your home. The sounds of nature, with the bird song heard from the nearby trees. The smells flood in through the open bifold doors too, freshly cut grass, and the beautiful scents from the plants carefully chosen for your garden. You feel like you’re in a balearic bar as you sink black while your pool table offers holiday vibes.

In contrast you might decide against an extension, in favour of alternative vacation feelings. Using the space for something other than a built structure. Instead of a building housing a pool table you could choose a different type of pool, a swimming pool.

Now that our summers are hotter it couldn’t be a better time to build a swimming pool for you to have that outdoor space in the garden. Dipping into the pool to cool off after sitting in the afternoon heat reading a book before you sink a mojito.

What a swimming pool offers is a reason to use the garden. Rather than looking out onto the space at the back of your house you can create a fun environment that you want to spend time in.

This is just one example but it really is something to think about. Make the house bigger or turn the garden into an extra room. If you want more inspiration you can get in touch with us and we can give you some of our insights and inspiration.
